Attorneys Help Create and Define Our Laws

Where would we be without attorneys to help us when we need to set up an estate or deal with unscrupulous individuals? Fortunately, you can be that person. Attorneys can work from any location either in private practice, for private or public companies, non-profits, and within government positions such as the district attorney's office. Fields of practice are limitless, such as criminal and civil litigation, real estate, agriculture, environmental, contract, family law, bankruptcy, and injury law. The list goes on-and-on. You can specialize in the field that most interests you or several fields at the same time.

Education
Most states require that you pass the bar before you have are allowed to practice law. The first four years of your education are spent either in a pre-law school or in a specific industry that is related to the field of practice such as engineering. The next three years are spent in law school. The courses you take will depend upon your area of specialization, such as employment law, ethics, copyright law, or food law.
